Dr. Laura J. Davila, DDS, FACP

Born in Miami, Dr. Laura J. Davila attended high school at Palmer Trinity School and earned her B.S. in psychology and religion from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She subsequently received her D.D.S. from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Her post-doctoral training included a two-year general practice residency at Weill Cornell Medical University-New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident, and trained through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Davila then completed a prosthodontic residency at the Manhattan Veterans Administration Hospital – New York Health Harbor Center, where she served as Chief Resident, earned her Certificate in Prosthodontics, and received didactic training at New York University College of Dentistry.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics & Fellow of the Academy of Prosthodontics, a distinction awarded to fewer than 1,500 practitioners worldwide. Dr. Davila is currently an attending at the Manhattan Veterans Administration Hospital and worked in private practice in Manhattan for several years. Her research on the accuracy of torque wrenches and zygomatic implant therapy and has been published in the Otolaryngolic Clinic of North American and the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Davila offers a personalized approach to dentistry ensuring the patient’s overall health and needs are met. She is most passionate about the opportunity to transform her patients’ confidence through a beautiful smile. “Dentistry is an intimate relationship, thus trust is of the ultimate importance. Dr. Davila is thrilled to be back in her native habitat, Miami. In her free time, you’ll find her spending on the water, running along the waterline, traveling to ski around the world, experimenting in the kitchen, and enjoying her big family of 16 (and counting!). She also speaks three languages: English, Spanish, and French.
